Bio Krystyn Warkus
Krystyn's path to being a life coach has been nearly as circuitous as that to being an artist [Krystynwarkus.com]. Born in Wyoming to German parents, she has maintained a lifelong connection with her German roots and has indulged a love of Bavaria and the Alps during extensive travel in Europe.
Krystyn grew up in Sacramento, California. She attended Stanford University and UC San Francisco Medical School, then moved to Hawaii for OB/GYN residency and seven years of practice. Her three children were born in Honolulu and have always considered Hawaii as their home. Leaving practice with chronic fatigue syndrome, she ultimately returned to California after her marriage collapsed. There she eventually married Mike Plumer, whom she had met when they were both attending an MBA program at the University of South Florida in Tampa. With Mike's semi-retirement in 2000, Krystyn moved with the family to the Pacific Northwest. She returned to Hawaii with the family in 2007, this time on the Big Island. Her path has led through medical practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist, motherhood, training as a marriage and family therapist, training as a professional life coach, and increasingly rich expression as an artist. She lives on the Kona Coast of Hawaii with her husband Mike, her daughter, two sons, and many pets. She has been inspired by the Ironman World Championship triathlon to actively explore what's possible for a person with CFS as a triathlete. |
